Built in 1861

Rebuilt in Howard, Colorado in 2019

Our barn was originally built in 1861 in Northern Indiana. We moved and rebuilt it in Howard, Colorado (just 15 minutes outside of Salida, CO) in 2019 to become a rustic yet elegant backdrop to wedding celebrations. Our wedding barn is ideal for couples looking to frame their memorable event with the simple beauty of the outdoors and the vintage charm of an old barn.

We offer an intimate space for your guests for your ceremony and reception. Our 1890’s 11 acre property is an active farm complete with honey bees, growing hops, hay pastures and more. We are located on the Arkansas River. Our gorgeous views of the 13,000 foot Twin Sister peaks of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range are the perfect backdrop for your I Do’s.

Lots of room

Receptions for up to 150 people

The barn itself is 3,200 square feet (40′ x 80′).  It is made with hand-hewn beams and mortise and tenon construction.  There are over 26 species of hardwood in the barn.  It has an attached covered porch that adds an additional 1,280 square feet (16’ x 80’) of entertaining space, perfect for a sunset cocktail hour. Large double barn doors open to unite the reception area and porch allowing guests to take in the expansive view of the beautiful mountains that surround us.

The Barn at Howard Creek Farm is open for weddings in the months of May thru October. We can host receptions for up to 150 people. We are happy to provide tours of the property or answer any questions you may have regarding dates, pricing and availability.
